Acquisitions

- Signed up unrestrict free agent guard Willie Generalao, and later in the Third Conference, signed rookie free agent Mark Anthony Tallo, formerly of Magnolia in the PBL.
Headline
- Pepsi Cola tendered an offer sheet to Purefoods forward Alvin Patrimonio, a five-year, worth P25.3 million contract, which Purefoods expectedly matched, making Alvin Patrimonio the highest paid basketball player in the PBA.
Key Dates
- March 21:(Open) Registered their first back-to-back wins in franchise history, winning over Presto Tivoli, 131-129 to even their won-loss record to 4-4. Abet Guidaben converted two free throws with no time left on a foul slapped on Presto import Dwayne McClain.
- July 13:(All-Filipino) Keep their semifinals hopes alive at 3-win, 6-loss by defeating Purefoods, 99-88 in Sta.Cruz, Laguna.
- October 27:(Reinforced) Riding high on a six-game winning streak, the longest in Pepsi's two-year history, beating Shell Rimula-X, 117-107 at the close of the elimination round, for a league-leading 8-win, 3-loss card, the Hotshots won 8 of their last 9 games since Perry McDonald replaces their first import Donald Pettis.
